MEET SHARON CAMERON LAWN Sharon studied at Parson’s School of Design in New York. She spent many years honing her skills and appreciation of design across the USA and Europe. Q: What do you think makes a great design? The most difficult aspect to achieve in any design is ‘simplicity’. My motto is “I work hard at making simple look easy!” Q: What would be your dream contract? Every new contract is a challenge in its own right. Nothing can replace the feeling of appreciation and achievement when the customer is bowled over by the end result. Hearing “Wow this is way more than I expected, its amazing” is all I need to hear at the end of a contract. Although I wouldn’t mind a crack at 10 Downing Street, London. Q: Who would you say have been major influences in your life? My Scottish parents without a doubt and Iris Apfel.
